RedBlack is a software development company founded in York, England, by managing director Jane Tyler in 1998. We design bespoke applications for customers in the food industry and in other sectors such as health and safety, NHS management and online learning. We also offer a full range of support, training, web development and e-business services.
Our team works closely with key users prior to any proposal and our project management methods ensure a smooth and successful implementation. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about what RedBlack could do for your organisation.
One of the company’s first successes was taking on an application that had proved popular with commercial bakers. The program was rechristened as Cybake and became the subject of a constant development process that continues to this day and is carried out in close consultation with our users.
Now, wholesale and retail bakers of all sizes and all over the UK and Ireland rely on the Cybake range of solutions to control their processes, make better decisions, cut waste and increase their profitability.

RedBlack Software won York daily newspaper The Press’s 2006 Science & Technology Business Of The Year award in 2006. She also joined the board of the British Society of Baking (BSB) in January, 2015 and is currently vice chair of the organisation.
