RedBlack is a software development company founded in York, England, by managing director Jane Tyler in 1998. We design cloud-based applications for customers in the food industry and in associated retail and wholesale sectors.
One of the company’s first successes was taking on an application that had proved popular with commercial bakers. The program was rechristened as Cybake and became the subject of a constant development process that continues to this day and is carried out in close consultation with our users.
Now, wholesale and retail bakers of all sizes and all over the UK and Ireland rely on Cybake to control their processes, make better decisions, cut waste and increase their profitability. Cloud-based Cybake 4 is the most recent version of our popular bakery management solution. It was released in April, 2018, and is delivered via Microsoft Azure.
For more information about Cybake, please visit the Cybake website.
Our managing director Jane Tyler is the vice chair of the British Society of Baking and she speaks regularly at food business conferences throughout the UK. In 2014, she graduated from the Goldman Sachs Ambassador Programme, a select initiative that supports high-growth SMEs. If you would like her to speak at your organisation’s event, please drop us a line.
The RedBlack team’s food industry expertise is second to none. Implementation specialist Robert McIlroy, is a food industry veteran who also sits on the boards of a major pie manufacturer and a four star hotel.
Our senior technical architect Steve Dickinson was formerly a developer for the Foods Standards Agency as were a number of members of his software development team. All our sales team have spent their entire careers in the food retail and bakery sectors.
In April, 2018, we welcomed enterprise software sector specialist Sandy Scott as Chief Executive Officer who has many years’ experience nurturing and growing companies in the business solutions industry.
